Historical Society of Sarasota Tour of Bidwell-Wood House and Crocker Memorial Church, - Mon., Dec. 9, 11 a.m. Pioneer Park, 1250 12th St., Sarasota
Take a step back in time on this private tour of the oldest remaining residence in Sarasota County. Built in 1882, Bidwell-Wood House is one of the earliest documented buildings of the area's settlement phase. Just next door, Crocker Memorial Church, another architectural link to Sarasota's past, was built in 1901. A $5 donation to the Historical Society is requested.
